About us
Our project is dedicated to addressing the mental health needs of immigrants residing in Germany, Italy, and Turkey.
We recognize the unique challenges that immigrants face, including cultural differences, language barriers, social isolation, discrimination, and poor living conditions. Through evidence-based psychotherapy interventions, we aim to promote physical and mental well-being and improve social integration for immigrants in these countries.
Research has shown that immigrants are at a higher risk of experiencing mental health challenges due to various factors such as cultural differences, language barriers, and social isolation. For example, in Germany, a study by the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees found that 40% of refugees and asylum seekers surveyed reported experiencing symptoms of depression and anxiety. Similarly, in Italy, immigrants have been found to have a higher prevalence of psychiatric disorders than the native population.
Our project seeks to address these challenges by providing culturally sensitive psychotherapy interventions tailored to the needs of immigrants. By integrating psychotherapy, we aim to improve mental well-being and help immigrants cope with the stressors they may face in their new environment.
Through this project, we not only aim to support the mental health of immigrants but also to contribute to greater cross-cultural understanding and empathy. By providing opportunities for immigrants and members of the host community to come together, we hope to build bridges between different cultural groups and reduce social isolation and discrimination.
